The estate’s origins can be traced to the property’s first, respected family, whose Italian heritage left a lasting imprint on the property that remains visible today.
Rather than constructing a conventional residence, the family created a property inspired by many of the architectural traditions found throughout Italy. Decorative concrete balustrades, handcrafted columns, stucco finishes, and classical design elements were incorporated throughout the estate, creating a distinctive character rarely found in the region.
The craftsmanship was particularly fitting. Visitors often notice the elegant balcony railings, architectural columns, and detailed exterior finishes without realizing they are part of a much larger story—one rooted in heritage, craftsmanship, and pride of ownership.
As a respected concrete contractor, Mr. C possessed both the vision and expertise to transform raw materials into lasting works. Many of the decorative architectural elements that define the estate today were custom created specifically for the property. The estate was never intended to be ordinary.
Rebecca’s Fountain
At the center of the property stands the feature that would eventually lend the estate its name: Rebecca’s Fountain. Inspired by the biblical story of Rebekah, the fountain represents hospitality, generosity, and welcome—values that would ultimately come to define the property itself.
More than a decorative landscape feature, the fountain became the symbolic heart of the estate. Families gathered around it. Visitors photographed it. Guests remembered it. Over time, Rebecca’s Fountain became not only the centerpiece of the grounds but the identity of the estate itself. Today, illuminated at night and surrounded by flowing water, it remains one of the towns most recognizable landmarks.
Wine, Hospitality, and Estate Living
The story of the estate continued to evolve through its vineyard heritage. Portions of the grounds once supported grape cultivation and wine production. The main building’s lower level, comprising approximately 1,720 square feet, was utilized for wine storage, while the beloved Bela Vista Wine Lounge served as a dedicated tasting room. The original wine-tasting signage still remains as a reminder of this chapter in the estate’s history. Although commercial wine production is no longer part of daily life on the property, its influence remains woven throughout the estate.
The Bela Vista Wine Lounge continues to overlook the fountain courtyard as a detached private estate pavilion designed for entertaining, relaxation, conversation, and leisure.
Like many great estates, the property evolved over time while maintaining its original spirit.
